RolePlay Addons

Some of these addons are required to RP with us, and are generally required to RP on Argent-Dawn or any of the other RP servers these days in general. While some of them are not required, but are incredibly useful to have.

Total RP 3 DOWNLOAD

• This is a required Addon to be a member of Whiskey Company
  • Speak with a Guild Officer if there's any issues in regards to using this addon
• You do not have to make a fully detailed profile or anything, however it’d be fantastic to see what you can come up with
• It is recommended to add the two fields; “Guild Name” and “Guild Rank” in you TRP profile
• Our OOC Guild name is “WhiskeyCompany”, and your guild rank will determine your IC rank as well so it is however not required
• You are not required to add your rank as a Title in front of your name, you can use other titles such as; Lady/Lord, Medic, Magister…and the likes if applicable
• It is HEAVILY recommended to also install Total RP 3: Extended for even more fun stuff

Buzzer DOWNLOAD

• This is a required addon to be a member of Whiskey Company
• Buzzer is an addon that allows for IC radio communication through a device called a "buzzbox"
• Buzzer, in comparison to GBR3, does not use frequences, instead it is using a hidden Guild Chat Channel, so only members in the guild are able to send and receive messages on that specific frequency
• Buzzer is taking over for our use of the addon GBRadio-3 - It is a simpler addon, it does have less features but it also has specifically what we need
• Setup is easy, after installing type "/buzzer options" in the chatbox, change it to "WhiskeyBox" then change "Custom Display Name" to your IC name, remember to click update
• Because of the way receiving emotes works, please also toggle emotes off so we do not spam the chat when there are multiple of us there. Do so by typing "/buzzer emote" - Or you can open the visual radio with "/buzzer toggle" and use the button there
• IMPORTANT: Because of the way messages are sent via WhiskeyBox, when you have just joined the guild the Buzzer will not work. It will start working the next day when the Blizzard API shows you in the guild.

WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) DOWNLOAD

• Whispers opens up their own popup window
• Also keeps the most recent chat history in the window when re-opening it
• Very useful for easier handling of whisper communication if you have multiple people whispering you at the same time

Elephant DOWNLOAD

• Absolutely amazing Addon when dealing with things as a guard, it saves all of your chats so you can return to them when writing up the report or statement if you do not write them as you converse with someone
• You should go into the Elephant settings and max out the amount of log lines as well as how many characters can be copied, less of a chance something gets lost if a lot is going on at the same time

Listener DOWNLOAD

• Useful in large crowds, allowing you to focus on one person you are having a conversation with
• Also contains specific timestamps from when the latest message by the person was sent
• You can add more keywords that pings you when they are mentioned in the chat

UnlimitedChatMessage DOWNLOAD

• Useful because of the limited character limit of the World of Warcraft chatbox (255 characters per message)
• Automatically splits what you send into multiple messages so you can just keep on typing without a break, the addon does the rest
